Today was our last day on the Shamrocker Tour. I have to say, the whole experience was truly amazing and I want to give a huge thanks to our tour guide, Daihti. He made this trip fun, exciting, and enjoyable. The sites and attractions that we were able to see in northern Ireland were absolutely unreal, pictures would never compare to what we seen without looking through a camera. Since today our main goal was to get to Dublin, we didnt stop at too many attractions, but we were able to meet up with Daihti’s mother and she took us to a hilltop that was called the Witch’s Seat. The Witch’s Seat was incrediable, it was made nearly 5,000 years ago, and it is said that they call it the Witch’s Seat, because at one time, women were judges and had enough power to take your life (depending on the crime). After our march back down the hill, we later went to a fairy tree, about 5 miles down the road from the Witch’s Seat. The fairy tree is supposedly a good luck charm. Daihti told us a story about a man on one of his trips that disrepsected the tree. Daihti explained to the man to never kick a fairy tree, so what did the man do? He feckin’ kicked the tree. Daihti said that the man slipped on a rock and ended up breaking his leg, so the fairy tree can be good, or bad, depending on who you ask. So, after we visited the fairy tree, we drove another three hours and made it to Dublin! I am excited to see what we have in store for us here. Until next time, cheers.
