Cardiff, i’ll be back!

Today was one of my favorite days so far on this study abroad. First of all, I had no idea what to expect from Cardiff. I didn’t really know much about Wales to begin with, let alone Cardiff. The country is beautiful, and the city has turned out to be my favorite city that we’ve been to so far. There seems to be a lot to do here, especially for people our age, and some really good food too!

Today was a beautiful day and we did some really cool things. The first thing we did this morning was the Doctor Who Experience. I have only seen the show one time in my life, but it was still cool because the show is so well known and such a big deal over here. My favorite part of the day was when we went to the Advertising agency Golley Slater. I can honestly say that I learned more about a career in advertising and

We learned about the many different roles that people in advertising agencies play, about digital advertising, and about music in advertising overtime. Golley Slater has been successful with advertisements that raise awareness for issues like organ donation and the impacts of reckless driving. To me it is awesome that they do things like that as well as advertising for products and services.  After the presentations Mike Leeson, the managing editor, took us all out for beers and a lot of the other employees joined as well. It was an awesome experience and made me excited for my future.

I can definitely see myself coming back to visit Wales and especially Cardiff again. I wish we could have been here for a few more days, but I am eager to head off to London tomorrow!
