This past weekend was our first and only three day weekend here in London! A lot of my friends went of to Paris and Amsterdam but I stayed back to save some cash and ended up having a little adventure of my own. London is so beautiful and there is so much to do, so I personally didn’t really feel the need to go anywhere else. I was able to check out the night life, explore areas off the itinerary and meet new people from the area!
Today the sun was out for the first time in 7 days and of course it was back to the books and into the classroom. Our first guest speaker was a Political Cartoonist named Martin Rowson. This man hates Trump more than probably most Americans and that says a lot. I thought he could have gotten more into his work and what he does vs. his personal opinions. One thing about Martin that I particularly liked was that he means what he says and he doesn’t care what anyone has to say about it. He knows a lot of people don’t the work he does but he doesn’t care at all and if anything he likes it. He’s a bad mamma jamma bottom line.
Next was Expert Storyteller, Trish Chiltern, and let me tell ya…this girl was a trip. She kept us on our toes and taught us how to be more open minded when trying to convey a message. It was very active and got us all talking which was cool because I got to better understand my peers and branch out and get to know others that I hadn’t really gotten to know before.
