Lights, Camera, Action
By Sarah Staelgraeve
As this day comes to an end, I came to the realization that when we wake up tomorrow morning, exactly one week of this adventure will be left. Time to make the most of it! We finally got to sleep in today, which was much over due. I woke up at 11:30 and headed to breakfast (or lunch – whatever you want to call it) at noon. After that, it was time to venture to our destination for the day, iTV.
From the conversations I overheard as we were leaving, I’d say this was a fan favorite. Exploring a TV studio that airs a show which compares to The Today Show in America was exciting. This was something completely new to me, and I loved every second. Learning about the fashion and make up room as well as being able to play around with the cameras was really interesting. I have never been backstage like this before. Considering I have been watching TV since I can remember, it was eye opening to be able to see how these things are done.
Lights, camera, action… the spot light was on us. As our peers got to be behind the cameras, others sat under the bright lights and felt what it was like to be on TV! It was a very glamorous feeling and I really enjoyed it. Day in and day out these people get to work with celebrities and have to control their excitement – what a cool job.
