Saying Goodbye

These past five weeks are ones that I will never forget. Thanks for the meme-ories.

It’s here, it’s the end. It feels like just yesterday I was landing in Belfast and struggling to learn everyone’s names. Although these past five weeks have been short, I have done and seen so much.

Derek the banana and all of his friends :,)

This farewell is bittersweet; on one hand, I’m excited to go home to see my family, some of whom I haven’t seen in months. But on the other hand, I wish I had more time with this group and in this country. I’ve had such an amazing time getting to know new people and places. I hope to have the opportunity to travel like this again someday. Not only did we get to see parts of the world that I didn’t even know existed, I got to learn so much about the culture and history of a place that was once a foreign concept to me. It still doesn’t feel quite real.

One of my favorite days in Ireland.

There have been laughs, there have been tears, but most of all, there have been memories that I will look back on and smile. I know that this isn’t the end. I have made friendships that I’m sure will last a lifetime. Hopefully, I will be back here again sometime soon. Thank you to everyone on this trip that made my time great. See you guys on the other side of the pond!
